U.S. Embassy in Bishkek Begins Processing Immigrant Visas

On November 29, 2016, the Department of State (DOS) announced that the U.S. Embassy in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, has begun processing immigrant visas, including Diversity Visas. Residents if Kyrgyzstan who were previously interviewed in Almaty, Kazakhstan, will now be automatically scheduled for an interview in Bishkek. Individuals whose interviews will be moved due to the change are being notified by the National Visa Center.

The Department notes that the U.S. Consulate in Almaty will continue processing immigrant visas for applicants who reside in Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.
