USCIS Releases Form I-918 Statistics
The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) recently released Form I-918, Petition for U Nonimmigrant Status statistics from fiscal year (FY) 2009 to 2015 [PDF version]. The chart includes Form I-918 petitions for principal beneficiaries (U1) and derivative family member beneficiaries (U2, U3, U4, and U5). Although only 10,000 U1 visas may be granted each year, the chart shows that the number of U1 visa applications has increased each year. Consequently, the number of outstanding Form I-918 petitions has increased each year. As of the publishing of this chart, there are 63,762 pending U1 visa petitions. I have included the chart below for your convenience.
