Updated National Benefit Center Form Processing Times
On January 12, 2016, the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) released its updated processing times for the National Benefits Center [PDF version]. The chart provides average processing times for various immigration forms that are handled by the National Benefits Center based on the processing timeframe as of November 30, 2015.
Furthermore, the document includes a reminder that applicants who have filed the Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, may submit inquiries about applications that have been pending for more than 75 days. In addition, the document notes:
For a Form I-765 [category (c)(8)] based on a pending asylum application, the processing timeframes listed only apply to an initial filing.
The 90-day period for adjudicating a Form I-765 [category (c)(33)] filed together with a Form I-821D, Consideration of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, does not commence until a decision has been rendered on the deferred action request.
