Chad Wolf has been serving as acting Secretary of Homeland Security since November 13, 2019, when he was appointed [see blog] to succeed former acting Secretary Kevin McAleenan [see blog]. There has not been a Senate-confirmed Secretary of Homeland Security since the resignation of former Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen [see blog] on April 10, 2019.
Revised Form I-129 Takes Effect on January 17, 2025
The USCIS is replacing the 04/01/24 edition of the Form I-129 with a new edition that reflects recent changes to the H-1B program. The new form takes effect on January 17, 2025.
