USCIS Celebrates Constitution Week With 260 Naturalization Ceremonies
The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced that it is celebrating Constitution Day and Citizenship Day, which occurs on September 17, “with over 260 naturalization ceremonies across the country from Sept. 14 to 23 as part of … Constitution Week” [PDF version]. At these 260 Constitution Week naturalization ceremonies, approximately 45,000 lawful permanent residents will become U.S. citizens. You may see the list of Constitution Week naturalization ceremonies here: [PDF version].
Later in the news release, the USCIS noted that it “is on pace to complete at least 829,000 N-400 applications for naturalization in FY18 [running from October 1, 2017 to September 30, 2018], the highest since 2013 and nearing its 10-year high in the number of [Form] N-400s processed.”
There are few things more special than becoming a U.S. citizen, and we here at The Law Offices of Grinberg & Segal, PLLC, cannot think of a better way to celebrate Constitution Day and Constitution Week. We extend our congratulations to all of the new citizens.
