In welcome news for those seeking EB5 status, the Department of State’s (DOS’s) National Visa Center (NVC) has announced an “investor assistance desk” for approved those with an approved Form I-526 petition. The EB5 Investor Assistance Desk launched on February 22, 2016. A customer with an approved Form I-526 petition will be able to email the EB5 Investor Assistance Desk at: [email protected].

The EB5 Investor Assistance Desk will oversee the addition of potential derivative applicants and the creation of fee bills. Accordingly, customers with approved Form I-126 petitions will email their derivative’s relationship documents to the EB5 Investor Assistant Desk. The email may also be used for inquiries regarding derivatives, the Child Status Protection Act (CSPA), or for general questions regarding case status.

However, the EB5 Investor Assistance Desk does not change the NVC’s process for meeting the documentary and interview requirements for EB5 status. Rather, the EB5 Investor Assistance Desk was created to provide better service for those with approved Form I-526 petitions.
