I’ve lived in US for 9 years trying to get my legalization papers. Had to deal with many immigration lawyers with no results, lots of promises, meaningless words and lots of wasted money. At some point I was sure I can’t trust any of them and would live with no papers like rat in the hole, after another failed attempt I was referred to Alexander Segal. This is the most straight up person I’ve ever met. No “bs”- everything he says is real. He pays attention to every single little detail of you case. He doesn’t give you empty hopes for a bright future, he just tell what to do and how to do it step by step. I filled a political asylum case through Law Offices of Grinberg & Segal, which was granted to me back in 2010. Since then I have received my green card and have been finally able to feel firm ground under my feet. Nevertheless, the way to winning my case was neither easy, nor a short one. Originally I have filled a case in Miami, but being unable to do a quality research I chose an attorney, that seemed legitimate enough. Unfortunately, my pleadings for political asylum were denied by the immigration officer, thus my case was transferred to the immigration court of Miami. My individual hearing was supposed to take place in two weeks. In case of denial I would have been deported immediately to the country, whose ruthless political regime is famous worldwide for political prisoners and kidnapped activists of opposition. Attorney assistants and Madalon Law did a great job convincing me to proceed working with them as long as I was paying the bill. They were getting my money in timely manner and telling me fairy tales about my prosperous future after the trial. However, since my whole life was at stake, this time I did take a great deal of time to do a proper research. That’s when I found out that my judge had 94.3% denials in political asylum cases and my attorney was not much better either. I was lost, terrified and simply broke. My trial was taking place in 9 days and I just ran for my life living all the paid money behind. Nowadays I usually laugh, recalling these memories, but it was not that funny back then. I found temporary shelter in Brooklyn, thanks to my friend Vladimir, who also advised me to call Alexander Segal immediately. Putting the efforts of his team together, Alexander Segal was able to urgently transfer my case to NYC and postpone it to a future date, enabling me to get ready for the trial. Alexander was exactly the opposite experience from the attorney at Madalon Law. He treated me not like a cash bag number, but as a human being with a problem, desperately looking for guidance and assistance. I have never heard bullshit promises or vague answers from him. He has always been HONEST and to the point, regardless of how harsh the truth sounded. On the other hand, he was incredibly humane and caring. I was going through a nervous breakdown three days before the trial, and he allowed me to spend these days in his office from 9am to 5pm, getting constant assistance from him or his experienced teammates. I owe a big deal of gratitude to Alexander’s team, who appeared to be extremely knowledgeable, organized and scrupulous. They are well-trained professionals, who are enhanced by Alexander’s experience, but in no way helpless without it. Ivan (attorney assistant), alone, spotted six filing mistakes in the case, which entire Madalon Law team has looked through. I cannot thank all of them enough for the life that I have right now!!! Now you, desperate reader, who is probably shopping around for deals right now. Regardless what attorney you go for, keep in mind, that your life depends on it, so make sure you stick with the professionals. DON’T TRICK YOURSELF, thinking that you can get the best at the lowest price and in the shortest time. I have spent a chunk of money and four years of my life to get to my green card, because I thought I am smarter than the whole world and can snatch out a deal. I would like to thank Mr. Segal and his team for all the hard work they did for me. My case was screwed by my previous attorney so Mr. Segal had to fix it all. From the first day when Alexander started to work with me I had no doubt that we are going to win. And we did! Even though I live far away from NY Mr. Segal was able to make it work by communication via the phone and internet. There was a nightmare, the long one…it seemed to me that there was no end for it. But now i have a new life. I have no fear and i am totally happy. And for all this i am grateful to one man Alexander Segal. In our time its hard to save inside of you the qualities of an honest man. I would like to say once again – I am extremely happy that I’ve met Alexander Segal and his deputy Ivan Savvine in the time I was in troubles and desperately needed help of immigration law professionals. And it’s not only about their excellent professionalism. While they were working on my case I always felt that my attorneys believe they are helping me to fight for the right thing. My husband was arrested and deported from U.S. April 2011. From that moment on, our entire lives turned upside down. My husband and I retain mr.segal on Jan 31 2012, for adjustment of status. I was the one being adjusted and my husband was petitioning for me. I surf the web and obtained the numbers for at least 20 immigration lawyers, I was going through the list that I aquired and found that mr.sergal’s office was most favorable to me, the secretary was detail and very explicit, clear and percise which led me to believe that she knew exactly what she was about, so I set up an interview where my husband and I can meet with the attorney. after a brief and detailed meet my husband and i retained mr.segals’ office for council, and i must say i mr.segal is awesome, their is no other way to put it. he prepared me, for my interview and assisted me even when i felt discourage.
