Elaine C. Duke Confirmed as Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security

On April 4, 2017, the United States Senate confirmed Elaine C. Duke as the new Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security by a vote of 85-14. Duke will serve in the number two position in the Department of Homeland Security under John F. Kelly.
